Two Corpers Decamped from NYSC Camp For Having Sex During Lecture

The relevance of NYSCTwo corpers have been decamped from the Ogun State NYSC Orientation camp after they were caught having sex. They were doing this in broad daylight just behind a crowd of youth corpers.
Skills Acquisition classes were happening on Wednesday the 7th of December at the Ogun State NYSC Orientation Camp.
Some corpers were being trained on how to enhance their writing and public speaking skills. Other were learning how to make beads. Others, make-up learning. There were the phone repairers, and a bunch of other skills acquisition classes.
At the back of the venue for these classes, away from the crowd, to people were displaying a very ancient, but timeless and unique skillset; they were having sex.

We imagine they probably decided to start their own skills acquisition class, considering many of those classes must have been very boring for them.
Unfortunately for them, the camp authorities didn't think it was a great idea.
When a soldier caught them, pants down, sharing and interchanging skills, he marched them straight to the commandant's office, and without even letting them speak, or explain themselves, they were decamped with immediate effect.
Decamping means that they have to re-apply for NYSC so they get to join the next batch in 2017.
All other camp activities remained normal, like soldiers telling female corpers they can help them with good posting if they have sex with them.
The entire decamping process was done under the radar, with no statement from the camp authorities regarding the matter.

32-year-old Emmanuel Kolade, an undergraduate of the Yaba College of Technology, has reportedly gone missing. The student of Computer Engineering, left his parents' home on Awolumate Street, Ajuwon, Ogun State, on November 11 and his whereabouts had remained unknown since then.
He was a part-time student of YABATECH and also worked in Computer Village, Ikeja, where he repaired phones for a fee. His father, Mr. Adeniyi Kolade, explained that his fifth child left for his workplace on the day, adding that he did not return home.
He said, "On November 11, he told me that he was going to his workplace in Ikeja, from where he would go to school, when his mother was about travelling that morning, he called her back and gave her N500 to augment her fare.

"However, when it was 7.30pm and we didn't hear from him, we became worried. This was because he never stayed out late. We called his telephone lines, but they were switched off. We checked at his place of work and his colleagues said he didn't resume for work that morning. The school also said they did not see him. All our efforts have proved abortive."
Adeniyi said the matter had been reported at the Ajuwon Police Station, Ogun State, and the Area F Police Command, Lagos State, among other stations.

Yabatech Fire: Polytechnic suspends academic activities following fire outbreak

Yabatech Fire: Polytechnic suspends academic activities following fire outbreak

The management of Yabatech has announced the suspension of academic activities after the fire outbreak.
Academic activities at the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has been suspended until further notice by the institution's management following the fire incident at Bakassi Hostel.
The authorities have subsequently announced that all lectures and examination have been put on hold, Daily Post reports.

A statement by Dr Charles Oni, YABATECH spokesman, said, “By this notice, all examinations and lectures, especially scheduled for today (Wednesday) have been put on hold while the College attends to the exigency.
“The Management regrets the misguided and outright falsehood on the social media and calls to certain radio stations that there was no water on campus to quell the fire.
“The truth is that firemen needed an excavator to attend to the fire, which the College provided promptly.
“Meanwhile, the Rector, Dr Margaret Ladipo, has called on the College community to remain calm as the Management finds ways to soothe the pains inflicted by the accident.”
Earlier reports revealed that the fire broke out early on Wednesday, November 23.

Although properties belonging to the female students were lost in the inferno, thankfully, no lives were lost in the incident.
Daily Post reports that the fire was eventually put out by men from the Fire Service.
3 Things You Must Take To NYSC Orientation Camp

3 Things You Must Take To NYSC Orientation Camp

Corps members

NYSC is here again, and we bring you a comprehensive list of things you'll be needing for the three weeks.

There's only one way you must never show up at NYSC camp: unprepared. Take all these things with you and you'll never have problems, hopefully. Now make a checklist and tick the following things as you get them in your travelling bag.

1. Your credentials are very important.

Your credentials here will be all your documents to prove that you
belong in the camp you've been posted to. You should go with your NYSC Call-Up letter, School certificates or Statement of Result, and your School ID Card. If you're a Native Medical doctor or Pharmacist, you must show up with an original certificate from the Nigerian Medical Council or the pharmaceutical or optometrist alternatives. That evidence of housemanship or internship is also important.
Important to note: Do not laminate any documents

2. Gear up.

Most of what you'll get in camp from the NYSC officials will be ridiculously poor quality, or too big, or too small. Better to go
prepared so you don't look like a clown for three weeks. T-shirts should be in your bag already, shorts, tennis shoes, socks, all white. You'll be needing underwear (obviously), bed sheets, mosquito nets. Slippers, cosmetics, and basic personal effects that should last three weeks will do you a lot of good.
Other important things include eating utensils, padlocks, torchlights. In fact, just pack as if you're moving to a new house.

3. Stack up on the cash.

Except for your credentials, money helps you travel light. Most of the other things you'll be needing in camp can be bought at the Mammy Market (that's what the market in camp is called, by the way). Just know that it will be slightly more expensive than what you'll get outside.

4. Are you good to go?

Now, take a look at all these things again. Do you have everything in check? If you do, then you're good to go.
There's something everyone who goes to camp knows.
NYSC officials scream, "ARE YOU GOOD TO GO?!". The corpers respond with "GOOD TO GO, GOOD TO GO, GOOD TO GO."

An inferno engulfed buildings in the Yaba College of Technology in the early hours of Wednesday.

Fire trucks at the scene of teh Yabatech Fire.
A fire broke out in a girls hostel of the Yaba College Of Technology in the early hours of Wednesday, 23rd of November.
The fire, whose causes remain unknown at the moment, saw the fire engulf an entire block of hostels, starting before the dawn.
The firemen of the University were the first on site but the fire quickly went out of control.
It wasn't until two hours after the fire began that they were able to bring it under control, after much of the fire had subsided.
The details of the extent of the damage remains unknown, but we're certain that it will run into millions, considering it was student living quarters.
Three injuries have been reported and a few cases of asthmatic attacks, but no lives have been lost at the time of filing this report.
