84 students of the Lagos State University (LASU) have been issued warning letters in respect to indecent dressing.
The Students Affairs Division
of the Lagos State University has reportedly issued 84 students warning
letters due to their indecent dressing.
A
list of the 84 students published by the division in the University's
official bulletin which was obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria on
Wednesday, September 21 in Lagos, revealed that the students were found
guilty of flouting the dress code of the University.
According
to the bulletin, the university authorities issued the letters to the
students warning them to desist from such acts or be made to face
disciplinary action.
“The students have been
magnanimously pardoned by the university authority and were warned to
desist from the act of Indecent Dressing, henceforth, or face
disciplinary action,” the bulletin read.
In the meantime, Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, has revealed that the administration is focused on implementing new plans and strategies which would go a long way to improve the infrastructure and facilities in the institution.
"Step
by step, LASU is beginning to distinguish itself, over the past seven
months, as a lot has been achieved and a lot more is in the offing,” he said.
Fagbohun
added that following the 200 days he has spent in office, his
administration has been able to attract heightened interest from
benefactors and investors, both public and private.
